The case is still in great condition.

The Olivetti Lettera 32 is a great machine. Light to carry and easy to use, sturdy as all get-out, it's the one I would recommend to anybody wanting to get into using typewriters.
No batteries required.
Thanks for reading!
Great love story. (No wonder your wife's jealous.)
ReplyDeleteGreat typewriter, Olivetti is my current favorite as you know. And nice typecast, thoroughly enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteHappy to have stumbled upon your blog. That's what comes of reading down other folks' blogrolls. And now, dammit, I want an Olivetti too. See what you did? PS: I can't think of anything which yields as much satisfaction at the same time as taking up so little space as a modest typewriter collection :-)
ReplyDeleteHey Rob, thanks for stopping by! Being a newbie, I'm honoured to get visits from esteemed members of the typosphere.
ReplyDeleteAs for the satisfaction/space ratio, stay away from wristwatches. Much smaller to store, but much more expensive to acquire.
Regarding Olivettis, the Lettera 32 is legendary. Reasonably cheap and plentiful. Got me through an 18 page book report back in '82.
