As for the "Octopussy" cover, the artwork was done in water-colour by Richard Chopping. He did the cover art for virtually all of Fleming's Bond books and they have become classics.
I should probably get around to doing a post on Bond book cover art.

@ I dream lo-tech, the framing around the watch was easy. I just typed and made sure I left a little bit of space to one side. Would have been harder if I had tried to frame the watch in the middle of the page.
As for the watch itself, there are plenty of them available on the second-hand market, although the new model is still in production and has been since 2006 when Daniel Craig took over as Bond in "Casino Royale".teeritzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05421337385763144173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1373508591984404978.post-50151265882623567132011-06-25T17:25:40.730-07:002011-06-25T17:25:40.730-07:00Great! I like the typecasts with the text framing around the watch, you must have worked hard to achieve that.

Yes, that's a real interesting Octopussy cover!Ton S. https://www.blogger.com/profile/10691201724230891974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1373508591984404978.post-74229966241396163212011-06-25T07:02:27.147-07:002011-06-25T07:02:27.147-07:00Excellent and educational post!
